![]() I tried using dual SD cards, and storing the JPEG images on one and the RAW files on the other, but the PC AUTO SAVE function still sends both to the PC. You can transfer jpegs to the drive, just like a smartphone but nothing else. ![]() Like PC Autosave, Instax is another option in the playback menu.Īnother option not really official is using the WiFi to connect to a portable wireless HDD or SSD that is connected to your smartphone that has an app to manage the drive. The latest addition is wireless printing to an Instax printer. ![]() PC Autosave has to be started in the playback menu or assigned to a function key. Even if it worked properly, using a cable to connect your camera to your computer is a lot quicker and easier. Other users have complained of the same and I have no idea how it works with Windows. This is because PC Autosave only supports OSX that is two releases behind Apples current release. I have gotten my X-E2 and X100T to connect to my network but they never see my iMac. The computer has to have the free PC Autosave app installed on it. PC Autosave is separate functionality designed to allow you Fuji camera to use its Wifi functionality to connect to a PC or Mac on a wireless computer network. When you press the WiFi button, this is the option your are starting You can download jpegs, do some editing, use you phone as a remote release, perform geotagging, and change some camera settings. The most common which is usually what people are talking about is to connect your camera to an Apple or Android smartphone or tablet that has Fuji's free app installed to manage the camera remotely. I really don't mind having to stop and initiate the function, after a few shots, but I would like to not have to wait for the RAW files to transfer as well as the JPEGs.Īctually Fuji camera's have several different WiFi connection options. I want to shoot JPEG and RAW and just transfer JPEG. I have no idea about EyeFi but check the specs carefully.Īctually, the Fujifilm Wi-Fi *does* transfer RAW files when using the PC AUTO SAVE function. Also none of them will allow wireless transfer of RAW files. I've used the WiFi from Fuji, Olympus, Panasonic, and Nikon none of them allow continuous automated shot-by shot image transfers. I too am very disappointed with Fujifilm's Wi-Fi implementation. I really wish Fuji would implement their wifi differently.with my Nikon I can do exactly what your wanting w/o the wifi SD card. I then shoot RAW+JPG normal, to speed up transfers. On the app, I there is an option to transfer only JPGs. I've done what your wanting to do, albeit to a tablet, using an Eye-Fi card and an app called ShutterSnitch on both an XT-1 and X100T. Fuji's wireless doesn't let you use the camera normally while connected, just via their smartphone remote control app. Pretty sure you'll need an Eye-Fi card or the like.
